Go Green is a unique Initiative being driven by ICICI Bank & BNHS. To create awareness among people about the usage of paper and its effect on the environment, both organisation has come together for the GO Green initiave.
ICICI Bank is urging its over 11 million customers to convert from paper statement of their account & credit card to convert to E Mail statement and thus help in saving paper. Inturn ICICI Bank would plant more trees for the action taken by its customers.
To implement this project, Bombay Natural History Society ( BNHS) would do the plantation of the trees and also create awareness among School children about the environment.
The website is launched for the initiative www.gogreen-sme.com which has interesting facts & tips to save environment. Tips like if you reduce the font size from 12 to 10, you can save 10 % paper, or One Tree gives us service worth Rs.7 Lakh
The launch of the initiative is planned on 5th Feb, 2007 at Palm Beach Road in Navi Mumbai, where CIDCO has given a 13 acre plot where the plantation would take place.
